What About Acrylamide?
Many consumers are concerned about ongoing reports
regarding acrylamide, a substance that is formed when
some foods, including potatoes, cereal products and
coffee, are fried, roasted or baked at temperatures
above 120 degrees centigrade.
The Food and Drug Administration has been investigating
whether acrylamide could cause cancer in humans, as
it has been shown to do so in animals at very high doses.
